GET INVOLVED
Young Pietists are a dynamic community connected by the common interest of renewing the
Covenant through a movement of justice. The community becomes stronger and is shaped into
being more faithful through a diverse and unified membership, so we intentionally welcome voices
and gifts from women and men of all ethnic backgrounds, all ages, and those who bring various
levels of training, experience, and callings to do justice.
Community Members: (anyone of any age*) An open invitation exists for anyone who feels
called to renewing the Covenant through a movement of justice to be part of the Young Pietists. Participation may include taking part in the conversation of “The Narthex,” contributing to the
efforts to witness around our five focal concerns, supporting the Young Pietists in prayer, or
financially supporting “The Narthex” (suggested annual donation is 1% of annual salary).
Members are any persons who desire to support and contribute to this movement. Members help
encourage and spread this vision throughout the church, and can provide vital perspective and
resources to the members.
Community Leaders: (anyone under age thirty-five*)
An invitation exists for those who are
emerging leaders/young disciples and feel called to renewing the Covenant through a movement
of justice to be leaders of the Young Pietists. YP Leadership requires:
A commitment to the mission of the Young Pietists
Participation in our online community, and/or at gatherings
Supporting “The Narthex” publishing costs with an annual donation (suggestion is to give
1% of your annual salary)
A commitment to pray for justice and leadership in the Covenant
Participation as a Leader may include all aspects of the work of the Young Pietists, as the growth
of the movement depends on its Leaders. After signing the commitment for Leadership with the
Young Pietists online, any level of involvement can be helpful, but we encourage Leaders to get
involved with one or more of the Circles (conversation, witness, transformation), to contribute
material to “The Narthex,” and to attend community gatherings if possible. We welcome the
wide range of gifts that Leaders contribute and so anticipate that this movement will adapt
according to the callings and talents of its most active members.
